# Best Practices & Troubleshooting

* **Sherpa Failing to Read Text:** Windows command prompt (cmd.exe) notoriously corrupts UTF-8 characters (Czech, Chinese, Arabic). FrostSpeech handles this by writing your text to a temporary `.txt` file and passing it to the engine. If a specific model refuses to speak special characters, ensure the model itself supports that language (e.g., Kokoro multi-lingual models).
* **Missing Binaries Error:** If the `Generate` button does nothing or throws a missing binary error, go to `Tools > Frostember Studios > FrostSpeechTTS`, click the Settings icon (Gear), and click `Clear Temporary Previews`. Then restart the setup wizard.
* **ElevenLabs Not Generating:** Ensure your API Key is valid and has sufficient character credits. The API key can be set in `Edit > Project Settings > FrostSpeech TTS` (shared) or in the TTS Window Settings (local EditorPrefs).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://frostember-studios.gitbook.io/frostspeech-tts/getting-started/images-and-media-1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
